Library Advisory Commitee

The Library is advised by a committee of experts in different disciplines. Faculty members of various disciplines are the members of the library. The Principal of the College is the Chairperson of the Committee. The Head of Library acts as the Convenor of the Committee. The functions of the Committee are to assist and advise the Head of Library in the formulation of library policies, purchase of library materials, improvement of library and information services, and operational matters As per the direction of the Chairman, the college Governing Council, the following Library Advisory Committee, is constituted for the year 2020-21

Readers Forum

Readers' Forum is a cultural platform for students, those who are interested in reading fiction and nonfiction. It started functioning in 2011. Readers ‘forum organised an interactive session on Reader, Reading and Rereading in the year 2013-14 for readers’ form members. And a new programme also started in the same year called ‘Reader’s voice’ for reviewing the books periodically. The academic year 2014-15 was a remarkable year for Readers Forum as it introduced a new programme called ‘Why is this my book?’ to improve reading experience among undergraduate students. Monthly book review programme also continued in this year. . ‘Reading original’ was a campaign among first year under graduate students held in the year 2015-16.Reader’s voice continued for the members. A talk on my reading experience was held in the same year by Shanavas Pattupara. During the academic year 2016-2017, Readers Forum celebrated world reading day with a slogan “Read a Book Lead a Nation.” Members of Readers Forum shared their Reading experience during a programme called 'my book 'held in 2017-2018. In this year we Started book exchange programme.
